On Saturday 21st, GeekOut South-West members (Including me) took to the streets of Bristol donning a costume once more.
Whilst we don’t have any pictures of my costume, we do have plenty of pictures of the GeekOut South-West guys mingling in nicely with the Bristol Anime and Manga group (BAM).
The Bristol Anime and Manga group can be found over on Facebook and they’re a bunch of anime and manga enthusiasts around Bristol. We saw a large group of people who came and left throughout the day and some of them were more than happy to have their pictures taken.
Many thanks to the Bristol Anime and Manga group for letting some of the GeekOut South-West guys join in the festivities.
There was plenty of food and drink around the place and don’t worry: We all cleaned up after ourselves! It was said that some passers by said we were all “mentally insane” because of the fact we were displaying our passion for cosplaying, anime and manga in public. To those passers by; That’s your opinion, but it’s not particularly nice saying such things!
There were also photobombers because “why not”, but ultimately, the group stuck together. It was a hot day so we had a large game of Cards Against Humanity (Around 13 of us in total) and other groups went off for other events.
For some reason, it would appear that finding mad scientists these days is actually easier than you’d think!
And of course, our day just would have not been complete without a few jokes and Tony Stark to save the day… After all, why so serious?
Yes, I realise: the graffiti really makes these pictures what what they are! A representation of Bristol in a nutshell! Fun, but pretty darn urban at heart.
What events have you all been attending recently? Do you have anything in the pipelines? Let us know in the comments below.
All of these pictures were taken by me! Horray for cameras!
I’d like to thank the Bristol Anime and Manga group for letting me join them once again. It was a lovely day out, although I’ll admit: the heat was getting to me! Phew!! What a hot day for a picnic!
