Lovecraft: The Blasphemously Large First Issue

What is it?

This is a new comic that is written by Craig Engler, which looks to give us a dirty, gritty story of the occult. Let’s not pretend, it wouldn’t have been a Lovecraftian story if the occult weren’t heavily involved! In this world, the author H.P Lovecraft never existed, however in his place there is a proper superhero, an alchemist by the name of Lovecraft.

As the best magician in the world, Lovecraft sort of sees himself as a guardian of humanity, even though he doesn’t much care for them. It’s just if they go down, he’ll go down with them, right? It’s survival at its finest for Lovecraft.

We’ve featured Lovecraft based comics on here in the past… This one marks another brilliant Lovecraftian title that needed to just be shown to the world.

How much do they need?

Originally they were asking for just $10,000. Which they got. Very quickly. They are already at the $20,000 mark and rising. In fact, as of the time of writing, Lovecraft has received a whopping $28,558! That’s pretty damn impressive for a comic, so well done to Craig Engler and his really brilliant comic.

They will be using the money to cover the printing costs of a comic of this scale (especially since this will be one really big comic), as well as actually probably in the long run helping them with their out-of-pocket costs. So the more they get, the higher quality the product they can produce really. They have to pay their artists fees in some way of course.

What are the rewards?
