Last night the Bristol geeks were at it once again; GeekOut Bristol Meet has now come and gone successfully – But now it’s time to share our monthly gallery and talk about what happened at this meetup. A new game, a big competition and lots more, this was an eventful meet. Check it out!
In this event, we were raising money for charity. We did this in the name of SpecialEffect, where we raised a total of £31 on the dot. Thanks to everybody who donated! The competition, for the first time, had an entry fee of £2, which immediately went to the charity box! There were more people in costume than who entered the competition, but we did have 8 entrants to the competition and closer to about 12 people in costume in total. It was a highly successful night for the competition. Check out our gallery of the competition below:
Thank you to everyone who showed up! The money is going to SpecialEffect as part of Gamely Giving, who do some truly brilliant work. For the winners, we will be in contact with your Steam keys. For Suzu, just drop Gareth from Boni d’Age Costumes a message on Facebook and he’ll be more than happy to work with you on a costume of your choice! Hope you all enjoy your medals as well!
But that’s not all we did at this event. We debuted a new game called Welcome to the Dungeon. I’m personally quite a fan of this simple little “Dungeon Crawler”. I’ll be doing a live-action review of this game in the coming weeks, so watch this space for that one!
That’s all for this months GeekOut. Next months event will be published within the next two days, so watch this space! Until next time, this has been Timlah signing out. Please don’t forget to comment below, or over on Facebook and Twitter.
