Kitacon Karnival 2016 – Guests And More

Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, you need to get yourselves ready! With the Karnival on the way, Kitacon Karnival 2016 sent out information about their guests for 2016 – So join Timlah as we look at the guests announced and what they’ve got going on this year!

Last year, Kitacon was graced with many amazing guests and panels galore. This year, Kitacon has taken a bit of a back-seat, which will see AmeCon to be the larger convention for 2016. As such, there are less attendees at this years Kitacon and so far, two guests have been announced. One is a returning musical guest to the Birmingham-based anime and geek convention; the other is the resident cosplay guest, as well as the guest judge for the cosplay competition this year. But who are these mighty fine guests?

Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer

Returning for another year of chap hop, Mr. B is going to be putting on another stellar show for us all. If you’ve not checked out his stuff as of yet, I’d seriously recommend you give his music a blast. You’ll have a blast listening to it anyway, so why not just go and enjoy it?

Basically, if you like all that is British then you’ll enjoy Mr. B, who is quintessentially the most gentlemanly hip chap hop star I know of. Now that he and the great Professor Elemental have settled their differences over a rather amusing dinner (It was amusing, we were there watching them eat dinner together and have a bit of a chin wag), it’s time for Mr. B to enjoy the stage of the stage of Kitacon Karnival 2016 without the Professor being there.

During the invasion last year, we managed to have a quick chat with Mr. B, so I’m hoping to be able to catch any panel he might be doing this year as well. I wonder what he’s been working on since the last convention?

Kyokyo Cosplays

Manchester-based Kyokyo Cosplay will be the cosplay guest of Kitacon Karnival 2016! I’m hoping to see some really interesting cosplay related panels by Kyokyo’s Sophie Wright. She’s been winning cosplay awards since 2013 and now she’s coming to Kitacon to show us all how it’s done. She’s been complimented for her works, which include characters from Disney, as well as anime and even video games.

I’m excited to see if there are any little hints and tips I can pick up along the way to share with the world!

I’m looking forward to seeing Kitacon Karnival 2016. It’s a smaller event this year, which sadly means some of the staple features of Kitacon aren’t there, such as the Bring and Buy (which is a real shame, as I had a few things I was looking to part with). Still, on the plus side, Kitacon is coming back and it’s just 18 sleeps away. Excuse me. My bed awaits. If you’ll be coming to Kitacon Karnival 2016, let us know in the comments below, or over on Facebook and Twitter.
