We were very busy last week, as many of you will be aware. We enjoyed seeing some incredible cosplays; we loved to attend panels; Joel and Sarah hosted a panel each; we all got involved with a TopCast, our first ever recorded Top 10 (which lead to last week’s write-up). Overall, we were incredily busy people at Kitacon last week and we seriously loved every minute of it. Although yesterday was the last specific Kitacon article, this article is just showing off three new videos: Our TopCast for the Top 10 Half Breeds, Joel’s DMing 101 panel and Sarah’s Jewellery Making For Your Costumes panel.
TopCast – Top 10 Half Breeds
Joel has been wanting to do this for ages, so we agreed to actually meet up at Kitacon to do it – and do it we did! We’ve made the first ever TopCast – and here it is! We sat down with Sarah, Jake and Kevin, all of whom shared their views for this Top 10. This isn’t the first time we’ve had others help us form a calculated decision on a Top 10 list. Ultimately, we love hearing from others, so the conversation really had a natural flow to it. We really enjoyed the few surprise entrants we had in this list.
DMing 101: The Panel
Joel delivered his second ever panel; this time at Kitacon and it was on a topic he was very well versed in. DMing 101 went down a real treat, ending a bit over half an hour in, then opening to pure Q&A. We do have the Q&A, which we will be trying to work into the full video at some point in the not too distant future, but for now, here’s Joel’s DMing 101, ending after the main segment of the panel.
Jewellery Making For Your Costumes Panel
Sarah is a friend of ours who has been attending conventions for a rather long time; but she had never done a panel before. She stepped forward and delivered an engaging and really well prepared panel. Seriously great stuff and if you’re ever thinking of making jewellery for one of your cosplays, this panel may have vital information for you.
Of course, these videos just show what Kitacon can be like. It’s a chance for people to share their knowledge, their passion and so much more. If you’re interested in running panels, let us know if you want to know how you can get involved in conventions yourself. If you enjoyed the videos, share your love with us! If you hated it, well, just don’t be too mean okay? So as always, share your thoughts below, or over on Facebook or Twitter.
