Who Are The Just Us League & What Is MARVELus?
The Just Us League are a nerd comedy two-some consisting of Gary Tro and Javier Jarquin. The duo are looking to spread a bit of nerdy comedy across the country – and they’re coming to Bristol very soon. The duo have received excellent reviews all round, taking their love of all things nerdy and turning it into a show of laughs. Their latest tour, MARVELus, will be in the Bristol Improv Theatre on Saturday 2nd February and it’ll be one worth looking out for.
Taking place between 8pm-10pm, the Bristol Improv Theatre have this to say about the show:
Direct from a standing room only season at Edinburgh Fringe and a critically acclaimed tour of Australia, the world’s premier nerd-culture double-act, The Just Us League, present ‘MARVELus’, the show that squeezes all the Marvel movies (kind of) into one action-packed hour of comedy. Using their signature high-energy style to create short, punchy sketches, it’s weapons-free comedy that takes no prisoners.
What Is The Bristol Improv Theatre?
The Bristol Improv Theatre is a wonderful little venue which is surprisingly spacious inside. For fans of great comedy and an excellent night out, the venue often has great acts on and has a nice variety of drinks at the bar. Furthermore, the tickets are always really reasonably priced. The venue has a very homely feel to it; perfect for a night of comedy. If you fancy trying improv for yourself, the theatre offers classes as well. We know they’re good; our own Catharsisjelly has been involved with their improv classes and he always had a great time! If you’ve never been there, you can get to The BIT by checking out the map below:
You can buy tickets for the show from the Bristol Improv Theatre by going to their main box office as shown above in the Google Maps form (St. Paul’s Road, Bristol). You can usually watch a show at a pretty reasonable price from the BIT, so I’d recommend checking this show out! Also, it’d be nice to support local comedians and an amazing local venue.
