Riot Games Go All Out For 10 Year Anniversary – New Games!

Riot Games have gone all out for their 10 year anniversary, which is a pretty exciting thing to be able to say. Riot Games made the Free-To-Play giant, League of Legends, which is a major title in the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre. For years, they’ve run just the one game but this year, they’ve decided to throw caution to the wind and show how much progress they’ve made in their world.

Kickstarter Highlight – Muffin Time: The Random Card Game by Big Potato

Not going to lie, I have to blame Joel entirely for finding out about this. Asdfmovie is a series of random comedy skits by YouTuber, TomSka. Last month, they released the latest asdfmovie, asdfmovie12. These short animated clips always get a chuckle out of us and admittedly, there’s little I can do to support the guy except maybe buy some merch. Until I watched asdfmovie 12, that is, as I’ve now seen that he’s been working on his own card game – and considering as of the time of writing there’s only 7 days left (6 by the time you read this), I figured it’d be good to share it with you all.

Kickstarter Highlight: Cover Your Kingdom – Card Game

Card games and Kickstarter are like ducks to water; many good card games come from the platform and today we’re going to chat about another. I recently found Cover Your Kingdom, which claims to conspire to acquire punderful creatures. If that isn’t a tagline that gets you excited, I’m not sure what you get out of bed for in the morning. Puns, creatures and medieval themes? Sounds ace to me. There’s not much time to back this one, so check out Cover Your Kingdom today. If you want the lowdown, then read on for our summary of the campaign, along with the lower reward tiers.

BARPIG – The Adventure Party Game

We are preparing ourselves to attend UKGE again this year and believe it or not, I still have not had the time to review one of the games we were given last year. BARPIG is a competitive card-based party game with social group activities, and some elements where you can mess with other players.

Card Game Review – The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls

Ever wondered what it feels like to be a crying child? Well, we’ve all been crying children once in our lives, but in today’s review, we’re checking out Edmund McMillan’s The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls, which was shipped to Kickstarter backers at the end of 2018. Having received mine, I was itching to give this one a try, as I absolutely love The Binding of Isaac video game. Would this new card game meet such high expectations, or should it be forever locked away in The Chest? Join us as we check out the gameplay, the artwork and more in today’s review.

The Bloody Inn

“Good evening sir and welcome to the Inn. What’s that stain on the wall you ask? Oh nothing to worry about, it’s just an old building. Enjoy your stay, sleep well and we may see you in the morning.”

Assign the stranger a room and plot who would be best to kill this evening to aid your profit, in a bid to defeat the other owners.

The Bloody Inn is a push-your-luck style game where you and your fellow players have joint control of an Inn. Think of it as AirBnB but with more death. Your goal is to gain money by killing off the guests that stay in the rooms without being caught by the constabulary.

Snitch – by Slight Games – Kickstarter

You may remember a that some time ago we attended UK Games Expo and during that time, we came across quite a few Kickstarter projects that were due to launch this year. Snitch is one of those projects I found, where I was lucky enough to play it with the creators. It’s a fast-paced social-deduction style game, that now has been released on Kickstarter and at time of writing, is well underway to getting funded.

Star Realms Frontiers

Back in August 2017, I backed this product on Kickstarter as an early birthday present, under the impression it would’ve come in time for December that same year. A handful of delays with design and printing eventually led the EU fulfilment to happen this September.

Was it worth the wait?
