Ratchet and Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal – or just Ratchet and Clank 3 in other places – was released in 2004 on the PlayStation 2, once again one year after the game before it. The Bloody Inn

“Good evening sir and welcome to the Inn. What’s that stain on the wall you ask? Oh nothing to worry about, it’s just an old building. Enjoy your stay, sleep well and we may see you in the morning.”

Assign the stranger a room and plot who would be best to kill this evening to aid your profit, in a bid to defeat the other owners.

The Bloody Inn is a push-your-luck style game where you and your fellow players have joint control of an Inn. Think of it as AirBnB but with more death. Your goal is to gain money by killing off the guests that stay in the rooms without being caught by the constabulary.

Video Game Review: Tabletop Simulator

Do you remember board games of old, ones which are hard to come by now? Do you have a lot of friends or family that you like to play board games with, but you’re not often in the same place at the same time? Do you really just like to flip tables and laugh at how everyone is now playing 1,000 piece pick-up? Well, all of these ‘problems’ are no more, as today we’re going to introduce you to Tabletop Simulator; a video game that lets you play board games. Seems like a strange and somewhat novel idea, but trust us, it’s excellent.

Somehow we’ve mentioned Tabletop Simulator many times in the past, but we’ve never actually reviewed the game itself…

Video Game Review: The Elder Scrolls Online

Through Azeroth, to Paragon City, I’ve played a number of MMORPGs in my life. All of them adhere to vaguely similar rules; create a character, run through a huge open world and do some quests. Get coins, do a few professions – If you’re a fan of MMORPGs, you’d know the drill. I’ve played so many, that I was trying to look for one that could potentially replace the massive void that World of Warcraft left in my heart. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before I picked up Elder Scolls Online – But what did I make of the world of Tamriel? Read on to find out more, along with a screenshot gallery of my journey.

A LucasArts classic, before the company were dismantled, The Curse of Monkey Island is one of their most iconic titles. Mobile Game Review: Tekken

For the past eight or so months, I’ve been pretty much devoted to Tekken 7, a game which has rekindled my love for the fighting game genre as a whole. So, when I heard there was a mobile version, you can imagine exactly what I said…

“This is going to be dreadful! How can I get my beloved combos on a tiny phone?!”

So, uh, I went in with pretty low expectations for the fighting game franchises first foray on mobile – a hard platform to do any form of video games as a whole. However, what I experienced ended up being something I genuinely didn’t expect… And hey, it’s free, so let’s read on!

Video Game Review: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Trial)

When I think ‘free trial’, I used to suspect that I’ll be able to get through some of the introduction levels, before it comes up with a big splash screen saying “Buy the game now!” Fortunately, Final Fantasy XIV(FFXIV): A Realm Reborn’s trial is incredibly fair – Allowing you to level up to 35 with no time restrictions. As I’m an avid MMO fan, who thoroughly enjoyed World of Warcraft, Aura Kingdom, City of Heroes, Dark Ages of Camelot and more, I took a dive into the world… of Hydaelyn.

Video Game Reivew – Alice: Madness Returns

“You’re back in Wonderland, Alice.” – But this time, things aren’t the same. Things have gone quite mad. You could say that all of the time Alice has been stuck in an orphanage, has only made her more derranged, or at least more cynical. Now we must return to Wonderland, where a train has been seen destroying the imaginative world. Why has this train taken off? What has happened to the laws of Wonderland and more importantly, can we see that amazing Vorpal Dagger once again?

Looking for a card game where you get to judge cartoon characters? Looking for something quick and easy to set up and play? Want a game with lots of unique looking characters, random questions to ask about them and to be co-operative? Sound strange? Well the clue was in todays title!

Pocket Mars – Board game review

Pocket Mars is a card game that boasts simple rules, and packs a lot of gameplay. I’ve had a copy of it for a while now and remember talking to the publishers Board and Dice about it back at UKGE, and at our recent September Meetup, I finally got round to playing it.
