Yeah, mine too – Here’s a bit more information about the event.
I’ve only ever been to Glasgow for work and even then I only stayed one night, where I spent that night in a pub with my work colleagues and we got very, very drunk. But what I do remember about Glasgow is that it’s a city with an interesting history, with lots of character. I recently revisited the city and to say that the it has changed is a bit of an understatement. Whilst wandering the streets, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Glasgow has a booming geek culture and wanted to share it with you.
The past month, people across the world have been celebrating Pride month, a moment for the LGBT community and allies to celebrate all that makes up diversity. We here support people to be free to be who they want to be, so long as they’re not cruel to others. Except Joel, you can be mean to Joel if you want*. I thought I’d use today as a way to close off Pride month by talking a bit about myself… What? I’m proud of being a geek. Oh and I’m also proud of being an openly gay geek.
*P.S: Please don’t be mean to Joel, I was kidding.
Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas one and all! ‘Tis the season to be jolly and all that, so that means the man in red will come back out, gracing our rooftops with Reindeer droppings. He’ll fall down a chimney like the world’s clumsiest rooftop repair man and he’ll then have the audacity to eat your mince pies and drink your milk, beer, baileys, expensive wines or otherwise. After all, Santa Claus knows how to have a good time; even if he is a good fellow at heart.
